Connectivity When Standard Networks Are No Longer Enough

AST Networks is a global satellite communications and networking technology company that provides organisations with voice and data connectivity capabilities across locations worldwide..

The company’s core focus is satellite communications — technologies and services that enable reliable connectivity in environments where traditional communications infrastructure is limited, unavailable, or requires an additional backup channel. AST Networks’ portfolio combines satellite communications products with connectivity services and networking capabilities.

The company works with various satellite networks and technology partners, while its modern portfolio also includes LEO satellite connectivity,including the integration of Eutelsat’s LEO services into hybrid connectivity solutions.

Why AST Networks?

Global Satellite Communications Experience

AST Networks specialises in satellite communications and networking technologies, providing international connectivity capabilities.

Products + Services

Satellite communications encompass both the required technical equipment and connectivity services.

Multiple Satellite Networks

AST Networks works with leading satellite networks and partners, including Iridium, Inmarsat, Thuraya and other networks.

LEO Technologies

AST Networks’ portfolio also incorporates the use of low-Earth-orbit satellite connectivity, including the integration of Eutelsat’s LEO services.

Hybrid Connectivity

Combining different connectivity technologies to create a more flexible and resilient communications environment.

Satellite Communications — Connectivity Beyond Terrestrial Networks

Satellite communications enable voice and data transmission in locations where terrestrial network capabilities are limited.

AST Networks’ technologies and services can be used for:

• voice communications;
• high-speed data transmission;
• internet connectivity;
• connecting remote sites to a network;
• establishing a backup channel for existing connectivity;
• maintaining continuous connectivity for mobile and remote operations.

AST Networks’ approach is not based on a single satellite network — the company uses different technologies and partner networks according to specific connectivity requirements.

Satellite Communications Technologies

AST Networks’ product portfolio combines the terminals, communications equipment and relevant technology components required to provide satellite connectivity..

Product selection depends on the type of connectivity, coverage area, required bandwidth, mobility and operating environment.

Satellite Terminals

Terminals for connecting to satellite networks across different use cases.

Satellite Communication Equipment

Communications equipment required to provide satellite voice and data connectivity.

Mobile Connectivity Equipment

Satellite connectivity technologies designed for mobile and remote operations.

Network & Connectivity Equipment

Equipment and connectivity components that can be integrated into network infrastructure.

Satellite Connectivity Services

Equipment is only one part of the connectivity solution. AST Networks’ services enable satellite infrastructure to become a complete communications system tailored to specific operational requirements.

Services include satellite connectivity capabilities for voice communications and data transmission,including for remote and mobile operations.

An important part of AST Networks’ connectivity services is the use of multiple satellite networks,enabling the connectivity type and technology to be selected according to the specific application.

LEO Connectivity — New Possibilities in Satellite Communications

As satellite communications continue to evolve, low-Earth-orbit — LEO (Low Earth Orbit) — technologies are becoming increasingly important.

AST Networks already incorporates LEO connectivity into its portfolio. In June 2026, Eutelsat and AST Networks expanded their multi-year collaboration, enabling Eutelsat’s LEO services to be used more extensively within AST Networks’ hybrid connectivity offerings.

The integration of LEO technologies is particularly relevant in environments where high-quality, low-latency and more resilient satellite connectivity is required..

Hybrid Connectivity — Multiple Networks, One Communications Environment

Modern operations do not always require the use of a single specific network.

AST Networks’ hybrid approach enables satellite and other communications technologies to be combined,allowing the connectivity system to adapt to the requirements of a specific environment.

This approach is particularly important when connectivity continuity, global coverage and network resilience are critical components of an operation.

AST Networks’ modern hybrid connectivity offering also incorporates LEO technologies, including the integration of Eutelsat’s LEO services.
